Covey Run Sponsors Second Annual Semillon Ice Wine Recipe Contest
WOODINVILLE, WA., June 1, 2007 – Covey Run, the award-winning Washington State winery, announces the second annual “Endless Possibilities” recipe contest. Open to anyone with a flair for culinary innovation, the contest invites participants to create a proprietary dessert or beverage recipe utilizing Covey Run Reserve Semillon Ice Wine. Contestants may submit as many unique beverage or dessert concepts as desired, as long as each recipe contains at least 1 oz. of Covey Run Reserve Semillon
Ice Wine.
Twenty-six First Prize winners will receive a $100 gift certificate for Eisch “Vintec” breathable wineglasses. Of these 26 First Prize winners, one will be awarded the Grand Prize; a trip for two to the 12th Annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival in Orlando, Florida taking place between September 29 – November 11, 2007. The Grand Prize includes airfare, three-night accommodations and four-day admission for each person to Disney’s Epcot Center, Universal Studios and/or Magic Kingdom. The winning recipe will be featured on the Covey Run website, including a professional photographic recipe beauty shot.
The Covey Run “Semillon Ice Wine… Endless Possibilities” recipe contest runs from now until July 16, 2007. Recipe submissions must be postmarked by July 16, 2007, and received by July 23, 2007. Winners will be announced the week of August 24, 2007. Submissions should be typewritten and include a menu description, along with a list of ingredients and preparation instructions. Recipes cannot be a variation of the Covey Run “Ice-tini” recipe which is equal parts Covey Run Reserve Semillon Ice Wine and vodka.
